FIELD: transport engineering; electrical equipment of vehicles. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in high frequency charging devices and supply sources with output voltage resistance- isolated circuits for traction electric drives of battery-fed cars. Proposed electric drive has voltage regulator build around controllable switch elements and field current regulator of traction electric motor independent field winding. Design peculiarity of device is that owing to introduction of two high- frequency transistors and diodes and charging relay possibility is provided to use one and the same elements of electric drive for movement of car and charging of storage battery at power factor close to unity.
