ABSORBING ARTICLE INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE THERMOPLASTIC COMPONENT DESIGNED FOR JOINING LAYERS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: absorbing article includes liquid permeable covering layer; impermeable for liquid barrier layer and absorbing member placed between liquid-permeable covering layer and liquid impermeable barrier layer; layer providing liquid motion and arranged between liquid-permeable covering layer and absorbing member. Covering layer is joined with layer providing liquid motion in separate fastening places forming certain pattern and realized by thermocoupling. Layer providing liquid motion includes functional fibers creating latticed structure and used in mass quantity 40 -65%. Said fibers are remained practically not damaged after joining covering layer with layer providing liquid motion and they have fineness in range 6 - 12 deniers. Latticed structure also includes different fibers in mass quantity 35 - 60% having weldable thermoplastic component; said fibers have fineness at least 3 deniers. Absorbing article has surface layer of laminate with increased capability for liquid permeability.
