FIELD: manufacture of absorbing articles used as medical facilities. SUBSTANCE: absorbing article has layer of continuous fibers, so-called cord, said fibers being secured together at points, along lines and on portions into fiber securing pattern. Remaining portions of fibers are not secured to one another. Said layer has at least two zones extending transverse to layer section and differing from one another by one or several properties, such as surface density, volumetric density, pore size, water absorbing capacity and water repelling capacity, and/or by other absorptive capabilities and/or capabilities influencing upon skin state. Said layer may be used as liquid absorbing layer in article under covering layer or as covering layer, or combined covering and liquid absorbing layer. Absorbing article is used as nappy, pants layer, urinary incontinence protective means, hygienic diaper, dressing and like material. EFFECT: increased efficiency by intensified absorption of liquid. 26 cl, 11 dwg
