FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: inertial dust separator has milling, rotary and separating chambers. Upper wall of rotary chamber and baffling wall of separating chamber are made in the form of parts of Archimedes' spiral or involute of circle. Absolute value of parameter K of polar equation of Archimedes' spiral or involute of circle for upper wall of rotary chamber may be equal to inner radius of milling chamber. Rear wall of rotary chamber may be made in the form of part normal to tangent of upper wall and to radius of milling chamber. Such configuration of separator provides for effective suppression of kinetic energy of large particles and withdrawal thereof into return channel.
