FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of production of a tape out of a metal powder and may be used in the powder metallurgy, in particular in production of a powdered tape. The invention offers a method of production of a tape out of a metal powder by rolling. At that the pressure in the hydropressing roller system, providing the working rolling pressure is created by a compressed gas, the volume of which is determined by the following formula: Vc.g = 2πR2ho(1±η), where πR2 - the area of the pressing roller; h0 - the height of the dispersible mass in the pressing roller section area; η = (γmax-γmin)/γm - a relative change of the bulk density of fed to the center of the powder deformation; γmax -the maximal density of the powder; γmin - the minimum density of the powder; γm - average density of the powder. EFFECT: the invention allows to produce a powder tape of the given density along the full length of the tape. 1 tbl
