FIELD: processes and equipment for rolling non-ferrous metals, namely rolling pellets of magnesium alloys, possibly manufacture of materials and articles of magnesium alloys used in machine engineering, instrument making and so on.
SUBSTANCE: method for continuous rolling of belt of magnesium alloy pellets comprises steps of preliminarily heating pellets till temperature consisting 0.6 - 0.9 of melting temperature of alloy of pellets; hot rolling of them in shaped rolls heated till temperature no more than 160°C at deformation degree no less than 80% and at rolling speed no more than 0.6 m/s. Invention allows to produce belt having thickness 1 mm, uniform structure and high mechanical properties.
EFFECT: enhanced structural and mechanical properties of belt.
