METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF BRICK Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of building materials; production of ceramic brick. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes curing of clay, preparation of charge by mixing clay, sand or chamotte and sawdust, grinding this charge and curing it, preparation of molding sand, molding, cutting bar into blanks, drying and burning of brick; curing of clay is continued for 30 days and curing of charge is continued for 2 days at the following relationship of components, mass-%: clay, 60-70; sand or chamotte, 25-35 and sawdust, 3-10. For production of brick, use is made of Alanies or Baidankin fields. It is good practice to use clay of Alanies field of the following composition, mass-%: SiO₂, 52.0-56.0; CaO₂, 3.4-38; MgO, 5.1-5.4; Al₂O₃, 15.5-16.5; Fe₂O₃, 4.5-5.5; TiO₂, 0.5-0.6; Na₂O, 0.010-0.015; K₂O, 16.0-17.0; the remainder being sand and moisture.
