FIELD: oil and gas industry, abandonment of gas wells positioned in almost inaccessible localities in permafrost zone. SUBSTANCE: salient feature of invention lies in killing of well, in removal of well tubing, in placement of cement plug above productive bed and in jig shoe. Then well shaft is filled with non- freezing fluid, Christmas tree and string head are demounted, concrete pier is set on well head. In compliance with invention well tubing is disconnected after killing of well and brought to surface. Small diameter tubes, for instance flexible tubes, are sunk into internal space of set packer. Shaft of well beneath packer, internal spaces of packer and shaft of well above packer are filled with cement slurry to height of 20-30 m above packer. EFFECT: well abandonment with minimal capital outlays. 3 dwg
