FIELD: mechanical engineering; drive mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: proposed reduction gear contains housing with two stages of belt drives with variable axis-to- axis distance, input and output shafts with fitted-on pulleys, respectively, driving pulley of first stage and driven pulley of second stage, intermediate shaft with pulleys and tensioning device. Housing is made articulated with centering surfaces in one of its parts (carrying part) for coaxial installation of input and output shafts, and in other part (brought out part) intermediate is placed in parallel with input and output shafts. Parts of housing are coupled through cylindrical joint whose axis is parallel to axes of shafts with possibility of relative turning through angle αmax, at αmax = arsinr/R, so that axis-to-axis distance α changes within the limits from αmin = Rcosαmax+rsinαmax to αmax, where αmax = R+r, and R and r are distance from axis of joint to axes of shafts located, respectively, in carrying and brought out parts of housing. Drives (center lines) can be displaced in planes of pulleys through angle α from α = 0 to αmax = arcsinr/R. Belts of both drive stages feature equal longitudinal compliance. EFFECT: provision of high smoothness of operation, damping capacity of reduction gear and electromagnetic, acoustic and thermal separation of both shafts. 2 dwg
