FIELD: mechanical engineering; transmissions with flexible coupling. SUBSTANCE: proposed belt transmission system contains drive 1, belt transmission 2 with belt 12, intermediate shaft 6, two two-axle joints 7 and 8 and mechanism 3 providing displacement of drive shaft 5 of belt transmission 2 in plane square to its axis. Intermediate shaft 6 is connected by one end through two-axle joint 7 with drive shaft 5 of belt transmission 2 and is connected by other end through two-axle 8 with shaft 4 of drive 1. Required tension of belt is provided by adjusting interaxial distance between drive shaft 5 and driven shaft 10 of belt transmission 2 by means of mechanism 3. Frame on which drive shaft 5 is installed is turned around in plane square to axis of drive shaft 5. Position of axis of drive shaft 5 changes but remains parallel to shaft 4 of drive 1. EFFECT: possibility of use of belt transmission with periodical mechanical tensioning of belt at stationary position of drive and load. 6 cl, 2 dwg
