FIELD: antenna engineering; antennas for radio communications, radio navigation, radio sighting, television, and radio broadcasting. SUBSTANCE: inphase and antiphase currents relative to folded antenna ends are processed at high frequency to simultaneously produce circular and figure-of-eight directivity patterns at antenna outputs. In-phase component of signal is proportional here to electric field vector component and antiphase component, to magnetic- field vector component of transit electromagnetic wave. Two design alternates of antenna are proposed; first one can be used as self-contained antenna and as part of more complex antenna of second design alternate. Antenna of first design alternate incorporates one conducting loop and electrical counterpoise of loop; that of second design alternate has five identical loops and one counterpoise. Antenna of second design alternate enables identification of three electric-field vector components and three magnetic-field vector components of transit magnetic wave simultaneously and independently.
