FIELD: antenna engineering; receiving antennas for radio communications, radio navigation, radio homing, television, and radio broadcasting. SUBSTANCE: multifunctional active loop antenna has two and more outputs with different directivity patterns and three alternatives of this antenna are proposed. In-phase and antipodal currents induced in antenna loops are processed at high frequency for generating following directivity patterns at antenna outputs: circular, figure-of-eight, and in the form of two opposing cardioids. In-phase component of signal is proportional to electric field vector component and antipodal one, to magnetic field vector component of arriving electromagnetic wave. One of antenna alternatives has three pairs of identical loops disposed in three mutually orthogonal planes. Such antenna makes it possible to determine simultaneously and independently three components of electric field vector and three components of magnetic field vector of arriving electromagnetic wave. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 cl, 3 dwg
