FIELD: overhead laying of fiber-optic cables between buildings. SUBSTANCE: method includes pulling auxiliary cable by means of pay-out rollers mounted on supporting structures and on ends of building roofs, connecting auxiliary cable end to fiber-optic cable, pulling the latter with aid of auxiliary cable through pay-out rollers at maximal possible sag of fiber- optic cable, fastening the latter on last supporting structure of cable run, anchoring fiber-optic cable, stretching it to degree of tension exceeding specified working tension which is maintained for definite time, installing supporting clamps on supporting structures, and conveying fiber-optic cable from rollers to supporting clamps. Roof-mounted poles of radio broadcast network can be used as supporting structures. Auxiliary cable is pulled between roofs of buildings by means of self-propelled car moving over network conductors. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, enhanced economic efficiency. 2 cl
