FIELD: electrical engineering; power supply systems for circuits handling current and voltage distorting loads. SUBSTANCE: method designed for correcting instant values of inactive load currents and voltages in supply mains node includes calculation of their integrals, active load power, and RMS value of voltage across supply mains node. Then quotient of load current integral by capacitor value and quotient obtained when supply voltage integral pre- multiplied by active load power is divided by capacitor value pre-multiplied by RMS value of voltage across supply mains node are calculated. Difference in values obtained is found and instant value of mains node voltage is added to result. Voltage found in this way is applied to capacitor connected to supply mains node thereby instant generation of desired correction current for supply mains is attained.
