FIELD: evaluation of supply of electrical and power engineering circuits with distortion load with electric power. SUBSTANCE: momentary values of current and voltage are measured, signal orthogonal to measured voltage is formed with preservation of its norm and effective value of voltage is computed. After it resistive, reactive and distortion components of current are isolated in agreement with formulas: iu(t) = i(t)-ires(t)-ir(t), where u(t),i(t) are correspondingly momentary values of voltage and current; H{...} is Gilbert operator converting initial signal to orthogonal signal with preservation of its norm; ires(t),ir(t),id(t) are momentary values of resistive, reactive and distortion components of current. Components of power are determined by multiplication of obtained effective values of current with effective value of voltage. EFFECT: increased speed of determination of components of power.
