METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING INTRACAVITARY PARAMETERS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2223033 C2

FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves sending high frequency signal from external antenna, accumulating its energy in on capsule capacitor, forming a signal corresponding to measured signal value inside the capsule, transmitting and receiving the signal using the external antenna. Voltage on capacitor capsule is measured during the whole working process, the value exceeding threshold value, energy transmission via the external antenna is cancelled. All electronic elements of the capsule are set to low power consumption mode beyond signal transmission-reception mode. The data under measurement are mathematically processed before being transmitted. When needed, calibration signals are produced by the external antenna to tune data measurement channel. The device has capacitor, transducer, internal amplifier, internal antenna, micro-computer connected in series to power amplifier, external antenna, receiving amplifier and filter. It has an additional threshold element, analog-to-digital converter, micro-controller and shaper. EFFECT: improved power consumption parameters; reduced emitted power of antenna; high measurement accuracy. 3 cl, 2 dwg
