SUBSTANCE: invention describes using bis-(resorcinyl)-triazines of the formula (I): wherein R1 and R2 each means independently hydrogen atom, branched C1-C18-alkyl, C2-C18-alkenyl, radical of the formula: -CH2CH(-OH)-CH2-O-T1, radical of the formula (Ia): or radical of the formula (Ib): ; R3 and R4 each means independently hydrogen atom or C1-C5-alkyl; R5 means hydroxy-group, C1-C5-alkoxy-group that is unsubstituted or substituted with one or some groups OH, amino-group, mono- or di-C1-C5-alkylamino-group, M, radical of the formula (Ic): ; (Id): ; (Ie): ; (If): ; (Ig): ; (Ih): ; R6 means direct bond direct-chain or branched C1-C4-alkylene or radical of the formula or ; R7,R8,R9 each means independently C1-C18-alkyl, C1-C18-alkoxy-group or radical of the formula (Ii): ; R10,R11,R12 each means independently C1-C14-alkyl that is unsubstituted or substituted with one or some groups OH; R13 means hydrogen atom, M, C1-C5-alkyl or radical of the formula ; R14 means C1-C5-alkyl; M means metal cation; T1 means hydrogen atom or C1-C8-alkyl; m1 = 1-3; m2 = 2-14; p1 = 0 or number from 1 to 5. Compounds are used for humans and animals skin and hair protection against harmful effect of ultraviolet radiation. Proposed compounds are very potent absorbers of ultraviolet radiation of A group (UV-A) with parts in the range UV-B and can be used as solar-protective screens in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and veterinary compositions.
