FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to basic-catalyzed hardening compositions based on epoxide compounds. Composition comprises: (A) 0.1-20% of latent catalyst of basic type - α-amino- acetophenone of the general formula (I): of the composition mass; (B) epoxide compound and at least one compound able to react with epoxide compound taken among the carboxyl-containing compound or thiol; and (C) 0.01-5 wt.-% of sensitizing agent optionally. Method for hardening composition involves the following: composition is irradiated by light with lengthwave 200-700 nm up to preparing photosensitive α-aminoacetophenone of the formula (I) in the presence of prepared photogenerated catalyst. Invention allows using the known initiating agents of photohardening radical-polymerizing compositions in basic-catalyzed reactions of epoxide compounds. Indicated catalysts show excellent latency before exposition for ultraviolet light, high absorption in UV-region and high catalytic activity after photodecomposition.
