FIELD: high-temperature plasma physics. SUBSTANCE: method aimed at producing stationary, high-density, fully ionized high-temperature plasma includes following procedures. Stationary plasma is produced and heated due to interaction between beam and plasma in electric and heterogeneous magnetic fields. Magnetic field is of plug configuration and radial electric field is built up in magnetic plugs thereby affording crossing of magnetic and electric fields in mentioned plugs. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of plasma heating. 2 cl, 1 dwg
