FODDER ADDITIVE FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING HYPOCUPREMIA AND CEREBROCORTICAL NECROSIS IN LAMBS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

SUBSTANCE: the suggested additive contains, weight%: dicalcium phosphate 28-40, lime 6-10, wheat bran 14-20, fodder sulfur 1.2-2.0, fodder yeast 2-3, manganese sulfate 0.2-0.3, cobalt chloride 0.003-0.004, potassium iodide 0.002- 0.003, common salt - the rest, copper sulfate 0.06-0.08, vitamin B1 - thiamine phosphate 0.01-0.02 to be daily fed for lambs for preventing hypocupremia and cerebrocortical necrosis at the dosage of 4-6 g, and with curative purpose -6-8 g. This innovation enables to increase curative-prophylactic properties of this additive and decrease its cost price. Prophylactic application in endemic areas enables to decrease manifestation of diseases mentioned up to single cases, its therapeutic action deals with sanitation in 75-80% sick lambs.
