METHOD OF LAYING LONGITUDINAL THREAD-LIKE REINFORCEMENT ON MANDREL Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: processing of plastics; manufacture of laminated envelopes, compensating and electroinsulating couplings, collars for positive-displacement pumps and casing pipes of oil and gas-producing wells. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in mounting reinforcement layer with die on carriage of winding unit. Mandrel is assembled with bits having free ends. Reinforcement is laid through die pulling it from spool or cassette on mandrel which is fixed or performs intermittent rotation around its longitudinal axis. Die performs intermittent reciprocating motion along mandrel axis together with layer and grips reinforcement by bits. Prior to laying reinforcement, pin directed to longitudinal axis of mandrel is mounted on layer. This pin performs intermittent reciprocating motion towards and away from longitudinal axis of mandrel. Pin is provided with die on end directed to mandrel. During laying, layer is moved in such manner that die intersects planes of cross sections of mandrel where rows of bits are located. Bits are so positioned that ends that clearances are provided between edge of die directed to mandrel and free ends of bits, thus excluding contact of die with bits. EFFECT: adequate linear density of laying; reduced usage of materials; reduced labor consumption; low cost of articles. 10 cl, 25 dwg
