FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to device and method of producing carbon composite truss-shaped structures. Proposed method comprises assembling fixture, laying fittings representing carbon bundles stationary fitting along lengthwise axis of the latter, impregnating with polymer binder and heating to temperature facilitating withdrawing ready structure. Ready structure is withdrawn at temperature approximating to lower limit of polymerisation range. Note also that polymer binder is selected to have vitrification temperature exceeding and approximating said lower limit of polymerisation range. Device comprises workpiece, lower die, inner punch and pressure generating device. Inner punch consists of three elements with their shape mating that of pressure generating device and profile of the truss lengthwise elements. Lower die consists of three elements with their shape mating that of the truss crosswise elements. Note also that pressure generating device represents a silicon chamber with union connected to compressor.

EFFECT: possibility to produce sophisticated shape structures meeting strict requirements to geometry, weight and sizes.
