FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns radiochemistry and resides in electrochemical dissolution of ruthenium/technetium alloy followed by precipitation of ruthenium hydroxide, which partially entrains technetium. Precipitate is dried and fired for 1 h in air at 600 C and then annealed for 1 h in hydrogen flow at 400 C. Ruthenium metal is finally washed off from ruthenium with hot 4 M nitric acid solution. Analysis did not reveal traces of technetium in ruthenium product. EFFECT: improved refining efficiency.
