FIELD: radiochemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: method for isolating ruthenium from irradiated technetium involves dissolving alloy Tc-Ru, isolation of ruthenium fraction, dissolving ruthenium hydroxide, distilling off of ruthenium hydroxide to alkaline solution followed conversion to ruthenium oxide and reduction of oxide to metal in pure hydrogen flow. Invention provides isolation of the ruthenium preparation from irradiated technetium Tc-99 for using in non-nuclear fields. The content of technetium is 6 x 10-9 mg Tc-99/mg Ru. Invention can be used in chemical industry and preparative chemistry.
EFFECT: improved isolating method.
