FIELD: hydrometallurgical zinc production. SUBSTANCE: method involves two-staged neutralization including first stage of neutralization by lime to pH value of 1.5-2.0, second stage of neutralization by dosed supplying of lime into solution with pH value of 8.0-8.5; directing second stage sediment for zinc leaching; feeding sediment resulted from leaching process together with lime to first neutralization stage. Method may be used for cleaning of solutions from soluble magnesium sulfates and alkali metals as well as for balancing neutralization of excessive amounts of sulfuric acid in zinc production.
