FIELD: manufacture of high-purity gallium from crude metal. SUBSTANCE: method involves filtering crude metal; hydrochemical processing and electrochemical refining in alkaline electrolyte in three-section electrolyzer with bipolar electrodes; finishing vacuum thermal processing of gallium. Before electrochemical refining process, crystallizing cleaning is performed in 2-5 stages. First stage residue of crystallizing cleaning is subjected to electrochemical refining process, and second-to-fifth stage residue of crystallizing cleaning process is returned to previous stages. After crystallizing cleaning and electrochemical refining processes, gallium is subjected to vacuum thermal processing.
