FIELD: drying technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed drying plant includes many drying trays (2, 2′,2″) with hating platforms (3, 3′,3″) and hermetic covers (4, 4′,4″), vacuum units 7 connected with drying trays for receiving vapors escaping from leather and reducing pressure to minimum working level (Pi), valve system (10, 10′,10″ for selective connection of drying trays with vacuum units. Valve system includes shut-off valves (10, 10′,10″11, 11′, 11″)) mounted below in way of flow after each drying tray for selective connection of tray with vacuum units 7 first at atmospheric pressure and check valves (11, 11′,11″) for automatic disconnection of remaining trays at working pressure to exclude deviation of pressure inside them. Vacuum units 7 include main vacuum pump 8 for reducing the pressure in system to definite level (Ps) exceeding minimum working level (Pi) and additional vacuum pump 9 for joint operation with main vacuum pump 8 for reducing pressure to minimum working level (Pi). EFFECT: simplified construction and high operational efficiency. 9 cl, 1 dwg
