FIELD: testing equipment, particularly for tightness investigation. SUBSTANCE: method involves sealing vessel by sealing means; measuring inner pressure parameter which depends on inner vessel pressure or determining sealing means parameter or vessel parameter just after vessel sealing for calculation of the first inner pressure value; marking vessels to provide correspondence between particular vessel and inner pressure value; measuring vessel parameter within a time interval after vessel sealing for calculating of the second inner pressure value; investigating vessel air-tightness by comparison of the second inner pressure value with the first inner pressure value which is demonstrated on vessels or on the base of vessel parameters demonstrated on vessels. Parameter of rigid vessels, particularly glass bottles, is oscillatory frequency of sealing means. Parameter of flexible vessels, such as polyethylene bottles, is filling level.
