FIELD: shipbuilding; repair of floating structures such as semi-submersible offshore platforms. SUBSTANCE: inspection and repair of platform are performed in the course of its operation without interruption of communication with well by dewatering groups of compartments. Platform is continuously kept within limits of rated characteristics pertaining to strength, stability, resistance to flooding and trim to ensure its safety in the course of operation and in case of severe storm. Additional passages made in bulkheads between compartments are used to give access to compartments. These passages are eliminated upon completion of repair jobs. Platform is preliminarily de-ballasted before repair of individual compartments. As a results it partially surfaces to minimum possible draft dmin, without interruption of communication with well. EFFECT: possibility of performing repair jobs without docking the platform and interrupting communication with well. 3 cl, 11 dwg
