FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new steric hindered amine ethers designated for stabilization of organic materials. Invention describes method for preparing compound of the formula (I) wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 mean independently of one another C1-C8-alkyl or C1-C5-hydroxyalkyl; or R1 and R2 in common with carbon atom to which they are bound represent C5-C12-cycloalkyl; or R3 and R4 in common with carbon atom to which they are bound represent C5-C12-cycloalkyl; R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 mean independently of one another hydrogen atom, C1-C8-alkyl, C2-C8-alkenyl, C5-C12-aryl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, electron-removing group or C6-C12-aryl that is substituted with residue taken among C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy-group, halogen atom; R7 and R8 can form in common chemical linkage also; R is an organic binding group comprising 2-500 carbon atoms and forming substituted 5-, 6- or 7-membered structure of cyclic ring in common with carbon atoms with which it is bound directly and with nitrogen atom. Method for preparing involves oxidation of compound of the formula (II) wherein R1-R9 have values indicated above. Compound of the formula (I) can be hydrogenated or halogenated by conventional methods. Compounds of the formula (I) and corresponding hydrogenated and/or halogenated compounds are used as stabilizing agents for organic materials against disruption by light, oxygen and/or temperature and against yellowing also being some of them are active as a fireproofing compound.
