NONWOVEN MATERIAL OF SUPERABSORPTIVE FIBER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, DISPOSABLE ABSORPTIVE PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2224831 C2

FIELD: textile industry, in particular, manufacture of nonwoven absorptive products. SUBSTANCE: nonwoven material is composed of superabsorptive fibers. Method involves extruding aqueous solution of superabsorptive polymer precursor through multiple channels of extruder head under predetermined conditions to produce plurality of filaments; thinning filaments by means of described primary gas source for obtaining of fiber under controlled turbulence conditions in macroscopic scale and under conditions, at which viscosity of each filament at site of discharge thereof from extruder head channel and at distance below 8 cm therefrom is gradually increasing as distance from channel is increasing, said viscosity remaining substantially constant in radial direction, at rate sufficient for producing of fiber with demanded thinning extent and average diameter without substantial rupture of fibers; drying thinned filaments by means of said gas source; providing random deposition of resultant fibers onto movable perforated surface for producing of substantially homogeneous material. Movable perforated surface is positioned at distance of from about 10 cm to about 100 cm from discharge aperture of said gas source acting upon extruded filaments. Resultant fibers have average diameter of 0.1-30 micron and are substantially free from solid inclusions. Thinning and drying stages are provided under controlled turbulence conditions in macroscopic scale. Disposable absorptive products are selected from the group comprising nappy, sports slacks, personal hygiene articles. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved absorptive capacity of nonwoven material. 30 cl, 5 dwg, 2 tbl, 6 ex
