FIELD: devices for tension of band-and-shoe brakes; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes crossing tie rods lying in one plane which are connected to both ends of brake band on one side by means of non-adjustable forks and are articulated to eccentric crank mechanisms on other side by means of adjustable forks; eccentric crank mechanisms are engageable through Lsector-gear wheelL train on one side and through Lidle gear wheelsectorL on other side with gear wheel of control lever, thus ensuring re- distribution of tension of runs of brake band with friction linings irrespective of sense of rotation of pulley. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of band-and-shoe brake; smooth wear of friction linings. 5 dwg
