FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: double-step belt-block cooled brake comprises braking pulley, braking belt, friction linings interconnected to define bandage fit on the working surface of the braking pulley with interference, cooling device, and actuator. The intermediate section and the ends of each lining are provided with flexible convex plates of constant thickness and rims set in the ring grooves. The plates are provided with thickenings between the faces of the linings and inner surfaces of the rims. The thickening has the openings that receive flexible ropes that interconnect the linings. The rim of the pulley is separated into two parts with the heat insulating spacer made of a ring with openings. The inner side of the first part of the rim is dull and emits heat, and the second part is made of a material having large heat conductivity and is made of a heat-absorbing material. The parts of the braking pulley are interconnected by means of hollow studs arranged over the width of the pulley in two rows over periphery and made of heat pipe.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and prolonged service life.
