METHOD FOR TREATING SPASM OF ACCOMMODATION AND LOW-DEGREE MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: one should apply an active electrode onto patient's upper eyelids to conduct perosseous electrostimulation of ciliary muscle due to applying "Phosphen" apparatus. Before applying active electrode into conjunctival cavity one should perform instillation of medicinal preparation improving ocular microcirculation. Active electrode should be covered with gauze tampon impregnated with the same medicinal preparation. Along with electrostimulation it is necessary to carry out electrophoresis with the help of "Phosphen" apparatus, then, 1-2 min later, both eyes should be continuously affected with alternating magnetic field of sinusoidal shape, magnetic induction 15 mTl, for 10-12 min. Moreover, total therapy course consists of 10 daily procedures. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
