FIELD: transportation of metal melts or electrically conducting liquids, namely magnesium or its alloys at casting them. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes electromagnetic pump and metal conduit forming together with duct of electromagnetic pump transportation passage. Electromagnetic pump is in the form of cylindrical or flat linear pump having duct around which inductor is arranged. Said inductor is in the form of two halves of extended stator of squirrel-cage induction motor. Apparatus is provided with unit for controlling overflowing; said unit includes electric current regulator connected to circuit for supplying electric current to windings of inductor of electromagnetic pump and pickup for detecting melt metal or electrically conducting liquid mounted in metal conduit and made with possibility of disconnection of above mentioned windings from current supply circuit when melt metal or electrically conducting liquid penetrates in metal conduit.
