APPARATUS FOR CUTTING SHIP OBJECTS BY SCRAP Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: separation of ship objects by scrap for further processing of metal scrap. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing, power hydraulic cylinder, cutting member, stops, drive hydraulic station. Housing is provided with upper and lower supporting rollers with beads mounted symmetrically relative to head of guiding beam placed between them. Base of beam is secured to inner surface of brackets mounted on metallic surface of ship object. Power hydraulic cylinders are mounted jointly and coaxially in opposite ends of housing in its lengthwise plane. Rods of hydraulic cylinders are jointly connected to ends of stops in the form of double-arm levers turned to the same side. Stops are jointly mounted in front and back slides; the last are provided with lateral slide blocks arranged symmetrically relative to lengthwise axis of head of guiding beam and with fixing member engaging with free arm of stop. EFFECT: continuous motion of cutting member along the whole length of guiding beam during which ecologically safe cutting of metallic board of ship objects is realized. 2 cl, 4 dwg
