METHOD OF VIBRATION ISOLATION OF SYSTEM AND BALL- TYPE FLOW-METER FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: vibration isolation technique; vibration isolation systems (suspensions, supports) used in mobile units for dampening elastic vibrations in large-sized spatial structures. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes imparting alternating motion to inert mass of vibration dampening member having form of ball possessing ferromagnetic properties caused by passing of twisted flow of working medium from working chamber to damping chamber and alternating action on inert mass of working medium in the course of operation of system to be protected against vibration at increase of pressure in damping chamber. For realization of this method, use is made of ball-type flow-meter having working and damping chambers hermetically connected with vibration damping member and filled with working medium (liquid, gas or gas-and-liquid mixture). Vibration damping member is provided with hermetic housing made in form of two coaxial cylinders; its shell is provided with tangential branch pipes directed to opposite sides and hermetically connected with working and damping chambers. Space between two coaxial cylinders of hermetic housing is closed with bases made in form of washers and limiting rings mounted in parallel relative to said washers; mounted rotatably in between these rings at spaced relation is polypropylene or polyethylene ball with reinforced ferromagnetic part having form of hollow sphere. Induction or inductive recorder is mounted on the outside of hermetic wall of housing near passage of closed trajectory of motion of ball. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption; enhanced accuracy of adjustment; enhanced informative capacity pertaining to dynamics of inertial mass; reduced inertial mass and overall dimensions. 3 cl, 3 dwg
