FIELD: clockwork technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for increase of operational convenience thanks to possibility to determine time of day or night in closed space, for instance, in underground settlement or closed building. Chronometer has hour hand to indicate time of sunrise and sunset and sun positions which completes single revolution per 24 hours, plate indicating time of sunrise that includes indicator of time of sunrise with scale specifying time of sunrise, plate indicating time of sunset that includes indicator of time of sunset with scale indicating time of sunset. One of specified plates, either plate indicating time of sunrise or plate indicating time of sunset is mounted for rotation and the other plate is mounted for rotation in opposite direction with preservation of engaged state with specified first plate. Chronometer can have minute hand that makes single revolution per one hour. Hour hand can carry sign symbolizing sun. EFFECT: increased operational convenience. 2 cl, 5 dwg
