FIELD: water purification. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a filtering cartridge for a device of water treatment with gravitational water delivery, that is intended for water purification. The filtering cartridge for the device of water treatment contains the hydrophilic porous filter having an open top end, a closed lower end and the lateral walls between them and a coupling member sealing the porous filter in the union with a part of the filtering cartridge, located near to the top end of the filter. The cartridge is made to provide supply of the treated water in the open top end of the filter, its running through a porous medium and effusion in a radial direction out through the lateral walls of the porous filter in proposition to as ousting of air from the open top end.
