FIELD: defense equipment, design of guided artillery projectiles with bottom gas generators. SUBSTANCE: method reducing bottom resistance of artillery projectile is based on injection of combustible gaseous mixture into wake of projectile with ejection of part of incoming air flow to zones of its after-burning between pyrotechnical charges and into central zone of wake. Amount of air ejected into central zone of wake changes proportionally to projectile velocity on its trajectory. Gear reducing bottom resistance of artillery projectile including body with head and rear compartments, warhead and blades of stabilizer, with bottom gas generator coming in the form of recesses in tail part carrying pyrotechnical charges separated by radial slots of gas-dynamic communication with central hole on axis of projectile is provided with flow governor of ejected air of incoming flow located in central hole and made in the form of differential piston with internal space that houses spring. Diameter of piston is conjugate to diameter of central hole and stepped protrusion in the form of mushroom which cap has diameter smaller that that of central hole is formed on butt of piston, on side of projectile bottom. EFFECT: increased shooting range of artillery projectile thanks to reduced bottom resistance over flight trajectory. 1 cl, 3 dwg
