FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hoisting devices and namely, to design of travel motion devices of elevator (lift) cars of residential and public buildings. Proposed device has brake, emergency motion device and wire rope guide pulley. Device is furnished also with pressure electromagnets, levers installed between cores of said electromagnets and brake, and brake springs. Emergency motion device includes support of worm installed on motor housing on which worm is mounted in meshing with worm wheel, thus forming self-braking pair. Worm wheel carries base with fitted-on said pressure electromagnets, levers, brake and brake springs. Base is provided with step to preclude axial movement of said wheel. Ring is installed between worm wheel and motor housing. Shaft of worm is made for mounting a handle and is installed in isolation from rotating rotor of motor.
