FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for chemical and motor0car industry and can be used when preparing fillers in plastisols. Lime milk suspension is ground until viscosity no higher than 2500 mPs is achieved. In the course grinding, viscosity is continuously measured in order to control grinding process. Calcium carbonate is precipitated then by introducing, for 77-94 min, gas containing 30 % (v/v) carbon dioxide at 18 C. Average particle size of precipitated calcium carbonate is no larger than 70 nm. EFFECT: reduced (by 20%) precipitation time and enabled manufacture of precipitated calcium carbonate with reproducible consumer's properties, in particular rheological properties. 4 cl, 2 tbl, 15 ex
