SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a limewater composition comprising slaked lime particles suspended in an aqueous phase, and a method for preparation thereof. Method of preparing a limewater composition having high reactivity, includes slacking quicklime using the proportion of quicklime in relation to water of more than 1:8, in particular 1:6, and less than 1:3, so that a lime suspension is obtained. Next step includes separation according to particle size of said lime suspension, possibly diluted, which is carried out on a vibrating sieve having a hole size of 250 mcm, preferably with hole size of less than or equal to 100 mcm. Separation produces at least one first fraction to be ground, which passes through a sieve with a hole size of 250 mcm, preferably having a hole size of less than or equal to 100 mcm. Second fraction is a retained fraction, mainly consisting of inert particles or impurities, which are to be removed. In the next step, the particle size is reduced by grinding in a ball mill at least one first fraction to be ground, and after dilution, limewater having a high reactivity with a narrow and monomodal particle distribution profile is obtained. High reactivity limewater composition containing slaked lime particles suspended in an aqueous phase is prepared by said method.
EFFECT: technical result is reducing the increase in viscosity as particle fineness increases and high reactivity of limewater with a narrow and monomodal particle distribution profile.
