FIELD: large-scale radio-ecological monitoring of maintained buildings. SUBSTANCE: nomograms to establish effective radiation dose of population depending on values of equivalent equilibrium volumetric activity of radon in points of its presence and dose rate of gamma radiation with due account of various age groups are constructed. Graphs determining dependence of average annual equivalent equilibrium volumetric activity of daughter products of radon and thoron EVARRn+Tn with allowance for time variations of derivatives of radon and enhanced degree of influence of derivatives of thoron on biological tissues on measured values of equivalent equilibrium volumetric activity of radon EVARRn, are plotted in first quadrant of nomogram. Row of parallel straight lines where ordinate EVARRn+Tn, is used as abscissa and effective radiation dose is utilized in the capacity of ordinate is constructed in second quadrant of nomogram. After measurement of equivalent equilibrium volumetric activity of radon and dose rate of external gamma radiation value of effective dose is found by nomogram selected with allowance for age group and employed to make judgment on degree of radiation safety of population in specific room in process of radio-ecological monitoring of living accommodation and pubic premises. EFFECT: reduced time to establish degree of radiation safety of population in process of radioecological monitoring of living accommodation and public premises. 2 dwg
