FIELD: estimation of radon hazard of territories at engineering-ecological surveying, at exploration of uranium ores, at estimation of the level of radon in living rooms.
SUBSTANCE: the method is based on measurement of volume activity of radon-222, specific activity of radium-26, density and porosity of ground, the radon activity is measured simultaneously in two point located at a distance from 0.2 to 1 m from each other, the measurement in one point is taken at depth h1 from 0.2 to 0.5 m, and in the other - at depth h2=2h1, in this case the specific activity of radium-226, density and porosity of the ground specimens taken in the same points are determined, and then the emanating coefficient is calculated.
EFFECT: simplified method, enhanced reliability of measurements.
