SUBSTANCE: device intended for condensing and cleaning steam or gas and mixtures thereof has condensate drain tank with vertical shell in the form of body of revolution whose inner space communicates with steam supply line through tangential nozzles and is provided, in addition, with second vertical shell whose inner space communicates with inner space of first shell through opening formed by joints of side walls of shells that form ω-shaped sections in vicinity of these joints; nozzles are disposed in opening and face joints of side walls of shells. Use of more than one hydraulically intercommunicating shells ensures multiple circulation of cooling water and improved steam condensation and cleaning. As an alternative, device is additionally provided with checkers installed upstream of nozzles and cooling water storage accommodating ejecting and inlet ducts of checkers. Using checkers in this design alternate provides for fine dispersion of components thereby facilitating steam condensation and cleaning.
