FIELD: materials-handling machines, design of electric drives of shoe brakes. SUBSTANCE: D C electromagnet has frame carrying control coil, supporting flange with immobile stop and guiding bushing made of antifriction nonmagnetic material, flange with through hole, retractable armature with rod fixed by guiding bushing with stop and guiding bushing of cover against radial movements. Adjustable rest is anchored on section of rod protruding beyond external face surface of cover, springy deformed element is installed between it and external face surface of cover, concentric with rod. Additional load from its deformation together with load on rod of armature by spring of brake ensure total load which characteristic is parallel with tangent line to static traction characteristic in end position of armature and maximum value of total load is equal to 0.8-0.9 maximum load of static traction characteristic. EFFECT: diminished time of delay of armature and reduced dynamic load with closure of brake. 2 dwg
