FIELD: electrical engineering; brushless electrical machines. SUBSTANCE: segmental matrix for coils is designed for use in electromotive revolving devices such as motors and generators and incorporates plurality of coils 42, 44, 46 operating in axial gap of magnetic structure. Separate conducting coils have circumferentially offset parts 39 ensuring interconnection of radially spread parts 37 of coils abutting against each other to form annular matrix in which all working conductors of coils residing in axially oriented magnetic field can be positioned in same plane. Such design affords minimal magnetic gap thereby maximizing useful magnetic flux. Segmental matrix of coils obtained in this way can be used in three-phase motor, solenoid, or generator. It can be likewise arranged so that plurality of coil matrices and associated magnetic rotors are alternately assembled of layers to additionally enhance total effective surface of coils in motor or generator of desired diameter. EFFECT: twice as great coil density in thin matrix, maximized motor torque and generator voltage. 18 cl, 11 dwg
