FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic coupling assembly contains circumferentially arranged coil blocks, a rotor and an electric control unit for controlled supply of excitation current to create electromagnetic fields in each coil block to initiate rotation of the rotor. The rotor contains a drive ring received in the inner part of coil blocks, a driven ring concentric, relatively to the drive ring and connected to a mechanical load, pairs of permanent magnets consisting of a drive ring magnet and a driven ring magnet, which is magnetically connected to the drive ring magnet and is displaced along the circumference of displaced magnets equipped with a driven ring, the direction of magnetization of which has an angular displacement relatively to the direction of magnetization of a neighboring drive ring magnet. Curved lines of the magnetic field of each displaced magnet are superimposed on lines of the magnetic field of the neighboring driven annular magnet, which bend in the other direction to suppress the generation of a parasitic reverse electromotive force.
EFFECT: reduction in losses.
