METHOD FOR TREATING NARCOMANIA PATIENTS FOR ACUTE ABSTINENCE SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves administering medicamentous detoxication therapy on the background of superficial medical inhalation narcosis with narcotic gas mixture. Inert xenon and oxygen gas mixture is administered as the narcotic gas mixture with xenon being taken in the amount of 30 to 70% of the mixture supplied via narcosis apparatus mask in semi-open line during 1-2 min until the first or second degree xenon narcosis manifestation signs arise and painful abstinence symptoms disappear. The number of narcosis sessions is equal to 6-15 per treatment course. The whole treatment course is 3-6 days long. Intravenous infusion of 5% glucose solution with Droperidol added at a dose of 0.1 mg/kg of patient body mass is given 2 h before going to bed and, next to it, Diazepam is intramuscularly injected at a dose of 0.15-0.2 mg/kg and Phenobarbital is given per os. EFFECT: reduced risk of complications; removed treatment discomfort; simplified procedure.
